It is our hope that God will open the doors to many more opportunities like this to provide supplies or micro-loans to help people make their start.

Romania

Off to Romania:

What began as just a return ministry trip to Romania (Ken was last there 9 years ago) has turned into a full-fledged ministry/mercy mission with 14 team members. This will be the first international ministry trip for Kallee Blue, who finally turned 12 -- our criteria for travelling overseas with dad. There are two other father/daughter groups in the team and several single men and women from a variety of age groups. You'll hear all about it when they return, but we wanted to include you in some of the pre-trip preparations.

Mercy Ministry:

Doug Wall and Aubrey Huskey, two team members, pushed on doors of possibility and opened up the opportunity for many of us to join in the fun of extending mercy to those in need. They acquired a cargo container to transport 40,000 lbs. of good stuff to our Romanian friends. The economy of God's Kingdom is such that all the children and adults that got to pack the food, clothing, treats, and medicines at this end were blessed probably just as much as those who will receive it at the other end.

We packed apple boxes full of food staples for families, 1500 baggies full of beanie babies, cereal, candy, and protein bars for orphans, clothes for orphans and teenage girls rescued off the streets, and much needed common medicine for 3 different orphanges.

A New Begining:

Orphans in Romania must leave the orphanages at the age of 12 -- which means they are thrown out on the streets. God has introduced us to a wonderful woman who has a home for some of these teenaged girls. Through Doug Wall's endeavors, God's direction, and some generous people, the team will be taking 4 sewing machines, thread, needles, scissors, and fabric to help them begin their own micro-enterprise.
