A QUICK FINANCIAL NOTE ~ So far, so good. Good News to the Poor has been operating for a year and a half and has never been without enough money to pay the bills. A few months have been a little tight, but still enough. Some of your support pays my salary which has remained unchanged for 15 years. I have not taken a raise or increase in wages since I planted Foothills Church in 1988. The rest of your money pays for travel and financial support to the poor. Your money is spent as prudently and effectively as I know how to.
I've spent the last month at home working on the book, "The Father Jesus Knows" and have completed writing chapters 4 and 5. I thought this would be the end of the book, but now realize that a chapter 6 must be written upon my return.
UPCOMING MINISTRY TRIPS ~ Korea in May, Brazil in August, Albania in the Fall. I love my life. Thank you for supporting it.
Peace and all good,

Dear Friends,
Thank you again for your financial support and prayers. Here's an update on what to pray for during the month of March. I will be traveling to England, South Africa and Zambia. Leadership training is slotted for England and South Africa.
A week long course for church planters from Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia will be held in Livingston, Zambia. The typical African pastor is modeled after the tribal chief with all the entitlements and abuses attending that model. The young men and women that will attend want to learn what they call servant leadership. I call it non-abusive styles of leadership. These church planters know Jesus but see that the typical abusive leader dominated churches don't work. I will help them learn a different way of leading.
While in Zambia, I will also be meeting with South African business people to continue working toward establishing a permanent training center in Livingston. The current plan is for the South Africans to manage the facilities, while I provide teaching and recruiting teachers. This could be a significant devleopment for the Church in East Africa. I will keep you notified as to our progress when I return.
