Now, as you read this, I am in Fiji and Tonga teaching at Bible schools and Mission training centers. I will be speaking to pastors, church planters and missionaries working in the South Sea Islands and Asia. I will tell you how this goes when I return.

In the next few months, I plan to go to India (Orissa state), Korea, turkey and Australia. Please pray for me as I travel and for my family at home. Thanks.

Peace and all good.

October 2005 – Update

I recently returned from Australia where I spoke at several conferences and theology schools in three different cities. I began my relationship with the Australian church two decades ago. Over time, I have taught what is important to me: the centrality of grace, the beauty of the Trinity, the charismatic dimension of ministry, and non-abusive leadership. They have responded eagerly. Good seed in good soil. Opportunities to teach and train Christian workers, business leaders, and missionaries from Australia to Southeast Asia are expanding. Over the next few years I expect to conduct courses at various universities where these leaders are trained.

I have mentioned my connection with the emerging church in Turkey. Turkey was once the cradle of the Gentile church. Most of Paul’s letters were written to the first churches there. Over the past thousand years, Islam has decimated Christian witness there. The dramatic conversion of 3,000 new Christians in the last five years means that the church is making a come back. My writings are among the few Christian writings that have been translated into Turkish. A few months ago, I taught Paul’s letters to the descendants of those who first heard them 2,000 years ago. That makes my head spin. I have the honor of helping to rebuild the theological foundation of the faith there. I plan to return often in the years to come. God willing and with your help I shall.
